I didn’t want to head straight home from work last Wednesday, Dec 21, so I invited some friends for dinner. My besh Ruby (lol! hahaha), randomly suggested we go to this Big B Burger restaurant in Maginhawa. My initial reaction, “Maginhawa? Wow ha ang layo!”
Well, anywhere is malayo (far) when you’re going home to Marikina City. But, I said yes to Ruby’s idea upon seeing Uber fare is only 270 PHP to Maginhawa from Unionbank Plaza bldg., Ortigas Center, Pasig City for us two.
Here is Big B Burger’s address along with the menu and photos.
The reception was a narrow entrance that features the ordering station. You’ll see a lot of posters you would want to look at. I also saw a funny ‘meme that say something like “Leaving so soon, too? #clingyburger.”
There we’re a total of 8 tables inside the restaurant, if I’m not mistaken, and each of the long chairs you see can accommodate 2 seaters.
The inside was a bit dim, but not disturbing. I think it even makes guests feel relaxed and homey. The interior and wall paints are simple, yet, it gives off a distinct effect that makes you focus on the people in front of you. Wow, right? As the display says, “No Wi-Fi Zone. Focus on the people you are with.” Something like that.
Ruby and I ordered the Big B Burger 50% beef + 50% bacon patty (P 125) and upgraded our bun to pizza bun (P 80).
The Poutine Ng Ina Fries (P 140 for 200g) was so awesome just like the wittiness of its name! It comes with an awesome special sauce, which Ruby and I couldn’t identify the ingredients other than basil. It’s still yummy even if it’s not too hot anymore. Mozzarella is life!
2 minutes after eating our burgers, Ruby and I thought we should’ve ordered 200g for each of us instead of sharing one. 6 minutes after, though, both of us couldn’t finish the fries anymore! The burger was so heavy! But in a good way, hehe. So masarap!
I’ll give the Pizza Bun Big B Burger 5 stars! Screw the calories I took in that night!
Here some photos I took at Maginhawa StrEat food park:
Enjoy the holidays! As for me I’d be working from home. But… you know. Hehe!
Christmas in 2 days!!!
