It’s been 3 months since my Cebu beach trip.
This September, our family decided to take the 10-hour drive from Manila to Bolinao to celebrate my sister’s 45th and my dad’s 72nd birthdays. It had to be in Pangasinan, my dad’s hometown.
We departed at 4 AM and reached Pangasinan at around 9:30 AM. I feel bad for forgetting the name of the resto where we stopped over to have brunch. Great place in terms of food, ambiance, service, and pricing. The Papaitan meal w/ rice costs only PHP 60, while our total bill for 8 pax was only PHP 760. To add, their toilet was clean.
Thanks to my brother-in-law (in blue)’s energy and patience as our driver, we finally reached Patar White Beach minutes before 2 PM. We bought crab and liempo in Sual Market along the way for lunch. Each costs 150/per kilo!
I booked the Traditional Filipino Beachfront Villa c/o Hotels.com for only PHP 7,500 per night. It was really nice, roomy, clean, and IG-worthy! The long drive was worth it. Thanks to Ate Leony and her team staying around the area for taking care of our needs such as accessing Cignal and lunch preparation. They were friendly and professional at the same time.
A nice beachfront villa with my family on a Tuesday? I couldn’t be happier!
Highly recommended for families and large groups! You can either relax and chill like we did, or party with your friends until sunrise. Maximum of 12 pax.
I’d stay here again if I go back to Bolinao. 🙂
Thank you, Lord, for the provision, fun, and traveling mercy — we left before Ompong reaches the north and survived the heavy rain in TPLEX.
